The Team

The MCS Plymouth Local Group is run by a committee of volunteers. Their support is invaluable - we could not run the group without them. The current committee members are listed below.

Dominic Flint, Chairman Dominic Flint

Dominic joined the MCS Plymouth Local Group committee in 2006. He coordinates the committee members, chairs our meetings and makes sure that regular donations are made to the MCS. He has participated in many of our underwater cleanups and beach cleans and is an active Seasearch diver.
Chris Manley, Secretary Chris Manley

Chris volunteered for the MCS Plymouth Local Group committee at the January 2009 AGM and took on the role of group Secretary in 2011. He contacts our speakers to arrange talks and liaises closely with the MBA. He emails the group members with details of upcoming talks and events and is already a regular at our beach cleans.
Sally Sharrock, Treasurer
Sally Sharrock

Sally has been a member of the MCS Plymouth Local Group for a number of years and volunteered for the committee in 2007. She has previously arranged the speakers for our monthly talks and was the Devon Seasearch Coordinator for several years. She is Treasurer for the group and is responsible for looking after our accounts. In 2008 she organised our successful Photo Competition and gained support from the Western Morning News, as well as securing prizes from various companies.
Amy Bugg, Webmaster Amy Bugg

Amy has been a member of the committee since 2003. She was our Beach and Underwater Cleanup Coordinator for 8 years and Secretary for two years. In 2008 she acted as a local spokesperson for the 'Marine Reserves Now!' campaign and the Beachwatch 2007 report launch. She has organised several raffles and other fundraisers and has arranged a number of courses for the group. She designed and maintains the group's website and Facebook page.
